Despite having a fractured wrist, Vihari showed incredible determination by coming out to bat in the middle of both innings throughout the game. The right-handed batter put in a lot of effort and batted single-handedly because advancing to the semifinals was at stake. Although his valiant effort was unable to advance his team to the semifinals, he nevertheless garnered high acclaim from the Indian cricket community.
Vihari was out by Saransh Jain after scoring 27 runs off 57 balls in the first inning as Andhra amassed 379 runs. He was dismissed by Saransh once more in the second inning after making 15 off 16 balls.

The physio warned me ten times that if I got hit in the hand while batting again, my career might be in jeopardy. When speaking with the physio, Vihari said, “If I give up for Andhra in this match, it would be in my heart forever. It’s no problem if I don’t play cricket after this match.”
When asked why he chose to bat in the second innings of the game, Vihari explained that he wanted to help his team and thought that his input might have helped determine the outcome of the contest.
“I was heartbroken because I was unable to bat in a quarterfinal game that was so crucial for Andhra. I made that choice because I believed it would benefit the team even if I could add 10 runs for the final wicket. You muster the courage to do it for the team,” Vihari said.
