IND vs BAN: While fielding in the second ODI, India Captain Rohit Sharma was struck on the thumb. He was evaluated by the BCCI Medical Team, and at a nearby Dhaka hospital, he underwent scans. He will miss the final ODI because he took a flight to Mumbai for a specialist consultation. His availability for the upcoming Test series will be decided upon later.
Fast bowler Kuldeep Sen complained of back tightness following the first ODI. He was instructed to miss the second ODI after being assessed by the BCCI Medical Team. Due to a stress injury, Kuldeep has been given permission to withdraw from the series. Deepak Chahar, a fellow fast bowler, suffered a left hamstring strain during the second ODI and is now out for the series. Now that their injuries are being managed further by NCA, Kuldeep and Deepak will both report there.
Kuldeep Yadav has been added by the All-India Senior Selection Committee to the Indian team for the third and final ODI.
Shikhar Dhawan, Virat Kohli, Rajat Patidar, Shreyas Iyer, Rahul Tripathi, Ishan Kishan (WK), Shahbaz Ahmed, Axar Patel, Washington Sundar, Shardul Thakur, and Mohd. Siraj, Kuldeep Yadav, and Umran Malik.
India wants to prevent a whitewash
Even though team India has been hampered by injuries, they would like to avoid a sweep in the three-match series against Bangladesh. The hosts narrowly prevailed by one wicket and five runs in each of the first two ODIs. The home team’s hero in both games has been Mehidy Hasan Miraz. He also scored an incredible 100 points in the previous game, helping the team go from 69 to 271 points.
Rohit Sharma won’t play in the dead rubber, therefore KL Rahul will take the helm for India. It’s also uncertain whether Rajat Patidar, Rahul Tripathi, or Ishan Kishan would have a chance to play.
