IPL 2023: Pacer Mohsin Khan is expected to sign on with the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) for the duration of the 16th Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023, giving the team a significant boost. The left-arm pacer for the untrained was confined to the sidelines because of a shoulder ailment.
After having surgery to remove blood clots from his shoulder, it was previously predicted that the pacer would miss the duration of the current season. Also, the team selected veteran left-arm bowler Jaydev Unadkat during the mini-auction in December as a suitable substitute.
The pacer will now join the LSG camp for the remainder of their campaign, according to ANI, as the medical staff has determined that he is healthy. With Mohsin joining the likes of Mark Wood, Unadkat, Avesh Khan, Naveen-ul-Haq, Yash Thakur, and Mayank Yadav in the lineup, LSG has strengthened their fast bowling assault even further.
Mohsin Khan will take the field for the Lucknow Super Giants in upcoming games.
After warming the bench for Mumbai Indians in 2018, the pacer was acquired by LSG at INR 20 Lakh in 2022. Mohsin was given the assignment of bowling during the powerplay and death overs in the 2022 season.
The pacer also enjoyed a respectable first season, taking 14 wickets for the team in nine appearances. Moreover, he had his highest bowling performance of 4/16 and was very frugal as he finished the season with 5.97.
Mohsin will aim to practise his craft and put up his best effort when he resumes play for the remainder of the IPL 2023 season, just like how he performed in the previous one. Near the end of the games, LSG will probably rely on him and hope that he performs well for the team. On Wednesday, April 19, the KL Rahul-led team’s next encounter is against the Rajasthan Royals, and it is still unclear whether Mohsin would be included in the starting lineup.
