Al-Sadd, a Qatari club, is allegedly enraged by Barcelona’s pursuit of former midfielder Xavi Hernandez (news of potential football transfers). After Barca dismissed their own manager Ronald Koeman (football news), Al-Sadd are furious Barcelona are eyeing their head coach Xavi.
Last Monday, the Catalan giants released Ronald Koeman of his duties. And most everyone in football sees Xavi as the frontrunner to succeed the Dutchman as head coach at Camp Nou.
Even Pep Guardiola, a former Barcelona man himself, has approved of the possible move back for Xavi.
Indeed, the matter has progressed so much that Barcelona president Joan Laporta has officially said that he has spoken with Qatari club Al-Sadd’s CEO.

However, the Qatari giants, with whom he’s manager, have responded with a tweet confirming that Xavi’s two-year contract remains unfulfilled.
According to Marca, Al-Sadd believe Barcelona have treated Xavi’s homecoming as a “done thing”.
The Qatari side has yet to receive any formal contact from Barca, according to the source. And yet, Barcelona remain ‘quietly confident’ about their chances of landing the 41-year-old in the near future.
So, all this is why they are dissatisfied with the way the Blaugrana have handled the situation.
Xavi has led Al-Sadd to 62 victories in 90 games as manager. The team currently sits atop the Qatar Stars League table after having secured eight wins from eight games this season.
