England versus Germany
UEFA Nations League
Group A3
Wembley Stadium
With England having already suffered relegation from League A, they had nothing to lose. They would have headed into the fixture hopeful to prepare themselves for the World Cup. The same was applicable to Germany as well.
The first half failed to produce any goals. Nor were either of the goalkeeper tested, with very few shots on target.
The second half was quite the contrary. Germany scored the first two goals to lead 2-0 in the 67th minute. The hosts came back to deliver an incredible comeback scoring thrice, in fifteen minutes.
Just when the contest looked to be going England’s way. Havertz equalised to conclude the match in a 3-3 draw.
