Gennaro Gattuso, boss of Napoli, claims that Paolo Maldini should stay at Milan should as its owner.
Gattuso and Maldini won two Champions Leagues together as players for Milan.
They even revived their partnership last season in San Siro when Rino was a coach and the ex-defender returned in an executive capacity.
By the end of the season, the 51-year-old is supposed to depart with Ralf Rangnick set to come in but his former colleague thinks he might still do a job for the Rossoneri (via):
“There can be no debate about him as a man, but I think he can still do very good things for Milan as a director.”
“The Maldini family wrote important pages in Milan’s history,” he said after yesterday’s 2-2 draw between his past and present clubs.
The former midfielder of Italy now himself wants to make his impact at Napoli, contributing to last month’s performance in Coppa Italia:
“I hope to stay at Napoli for as long as possible and write important pages for this club and this beautiful city.”
