Katrine Veje joins Everton from FC Rosengård on a two-year deal. The Toffees announced: “Denmark international defender Katrine Veje has signed for Everton on a two-year contract that runs until the end of June 2024.”
“I’m so happy to be at Everton,” Veje told evertontv.
“It’s a big club and it feels good to be back in the league.
“I always had a dream to come back to the league – Everton are such a big club as well – so it’s a dream come true.”
“For me, I need to feel comfortable [in my environment],” Veje explained.
“With Brian as manager – and knowing some of the Danish and Swedish girls here – it made the decision to sign for Everton even easier.
“I spoke with Ri [Sevecke] about the league, the Club and the team.
“There had been a lot of thoughts before signing and I just felt Everton was the right move for me.
“Brian has won a lot of titles in Denmark and did well in the Champions League. As well so that was so important for me that he really wanted me here.
“My dream is to take this team to one of the top five places in this league.
“I feel we have the players for that to be possible. A lot of internationals in the squad and a lot of good English players as well.
“That’s something I want to fight for and help the team achieve.”
