Pep Guardiola, the Manchester City head coach, has spoken out about the 4-1 win over Wolverhampton in an EPL match.
“Speaking about the game, we were very good,” said Guardiola to BBC.
“We got a bit worried when the score line was 1-1, but we reacted well and scored our goals. It was all deserved – we played very well. Matches are very tough and we won comfortably enough in the final minutes,” he said.
“The opponents were dangerous after tying the score, but we continued to possess the ball, didn’t give up. For us it was a good lesson in small details.”
“This year’s calendar is very tight. We haven’t had a full week – a lot of games. And then there are the Wolves, a physically and mentally tough team. I’m more than pleased with what we’ve done,” he added.
“Records? We will talk about records later. In England in winter – November, December, January – all hell breaks loose. So it’s quite an outstanding record. I am very proud. But Liverpool are still champions. We need points to take the EPL.”
