Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, Manchester United head coach, has spoken out about the possibility of putting pressure on EPL-leading Manchester City.
“I doubt anyone would say they wouldn’t try. We will be looking to win every game, of course. We need to put out a good series if we plan to put pressure on City and it has to start on Sunday,” Solskjaer said to Daily Mail.
“We can’t control what other teams do. We have to be responsible for ourselves. We are in the position we are in, we are second and of course the aim is to finish no lower than that place.”
He added, “There’s no hiding the fact that we’ve lost a little bit of form. We lost points against Everton, Sheffield Wednesday, West Bromwich – we deserved more, we should have got more points. The match against Newcastle will be definitely very important for us.”
