Italian giants Napoli originally demanded an immense sum of £80million for centre back Kalidou Koulibaly.
But the present offer on the 29-year-old is much cheaper than the initial cost estimated, only about £ 65 million.
Incidentally, there is an increasing expectation that Koulibaly will head to this summer Manchester City, as one of three major money goals.
With Liverpool and Manchester United both strongly related, reports, Manchester City may have to be wary to secure the player.
Koulibaly was already linked to the Premier League with big money transfers so City could be his last opportunity to transfer to English football.
Koulibaly has been a long-term aim of City’s to join Aymeric Laporte as a powerful center half as their Achilles heel. He was the first option pairing as defence.
After ending their two-year prohibition on the Champions League, they are willing to invest big to threaten Liverpool in next season’s battle for the title. And City manager Guardiola needs a centre half, left back and forward as part of his reconstruction efforts at Etihad.
