After returning to Old Trafford in one of the biggest football transfers of the summer transfer window, already, Ronaldo may leave United if they don’t qualify for Champions League (football news) next season, that is, if they do not finish in the top four of this 2021-22 English Premier League season.
Since Cristiano Ronaldo returned to Old Trafford, the 36-year-old has scored nine goals in 12 games in all competitions.
But, despite his significant contribution to Manchester United, the Red Devils have failed to deliver as a unit at whole.
After losing to Manchester City in the Premier League derby on Saturday, Manchester United are now sixth in the rankings. They have played 11 games, and are already five points behind the Champions League places and three behind fifth-placed Arsenal.
