Tyler Roberts has joined QPR on a season-long loan from Leeds United. The club announced: “ The 23-year-old striker becomes Michael Beale’s third summer signing following the arrivals of Jake Clarke-Salter and Kenneth Paal.”
“I’m very excited,” Tyler Roberts told www.qpr.co.uk. “At this stage in my career, I want to play as many games as I can and this is a great club to come and do that at.
“I can feel the buzz around the place ahead of the new season with the new gaffer.
“I had a chat with him and his enthusiasm towards the game is clear. He’s got a great track record with improving young players and he wants to play football in the right way.
“He feels that now is the time for me to really push on in my career – and so do I.
“I think everyone enjoys being involved in the Championship – whether you’re watching or playing.
“I am young but I’ve played Championship football for two seasons, obviously winning promotion with Leeds.
“The division is full of ups and downs but as long as we stick together, I’m sure good times will follow.
“I think that gives me an extra little bit of hunger, on top of what I already have.
“It would be a massive career achievement for me to go to the World Cup. But to go I know I need to be playing my best football.
R’s head coach Beale is pleased with the latest addition to his squad, saying: “I am delighted to bring Tyler in.
“I spoke with him about his future. He had a lot of other offers but he wanted to come here which was massive”.
