Trilogy Fight: Despite admitting he is “buzzing” about facing Tyson Fury once more, Derek Chisora knows he must score a stunning knockout victory over his longtime British foe.
On December 3, Derek Chisora and Tyson Fury will square off in a trilogy match at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Chisora thinks the event will be “unbelievable.”
However, after losing twice to Tyson Fury, the current WBC heavyweight champion, Chisora understands that he must pull off the most thrilling victory of his career.
Chisora stated to Sky Sports, “I need to knock him out, and I want to knock him out.”
Prior to his most recent fight with Fury, Chisora stated that he is a “better fighter” after considering his two defeats to Fury, who is “more of a forward fighter today.”
Chisora predicted an intense fight, and Fury concurred, expressing admiration for his opponent’s desire for combat.
Fury declared, “He comes and does exactly what it says on the tin: He goes to war. “We are going to have a war because he changed his name from “Del Boy” to “War.”
“The second time, I did easily defeat him, but Chisora’s approach and mine had both evolved. I used to be a back foot tip-tap boxer who moved around the ring jibbing and jabbing, but now I’m an HMS destroyer!
“Someone is going to be knocked unconscious when two powerful forces collide. I’m going to be knocked out if he lands a powerful swinging blow on me. The crowd will triumph if I get a huge swing in on him and knock him out.”
Chisora compared his professional life to a roast meal when there was “a little bit left and you start to enjoy it more” when questioned about his future.
The Zimbabwean-born, London-raised 38-year-old stated he will continue “until God tells me it’s my last fight.”
