Cricket News: After facing criticism for Pakistan’s poor performance in the second Test match against England in Multan, which they lost by 26 runs despite being in a winning position, captain Babar Azam sent a mysterious tweet. In addition to ending Pakistan’s chances of qualifying for the WTC final, the loss cost them the series.
Babar scored 75 runs in the first inning but only one off ten pitches in the second. An indignant home audience yelled “Zimbabar” at the Pakistani skipper as he made his way to the pavilion.
After Pakistan lost the Test series, Babar Azam sent a mysterious tweet.
Do not let compliments and criticism into your heart, Babar Azam stated on his official Twitter account.

The 28-year-old has consistently taken brickbats despite making every effort to succeed as a leader and a batsman. Notably, he has been playing well with the bat in all forms, and his leadership in white-ball cricket has been outstanding as Pakistan advanced to the T20 World Cup semifinals last year and this year’s Asia Cup and T20 World Cup finals.
However, after Pakistan lost two straight home Test series this year, his red-ball captaincy has come under fire. The most recent one was against England, and the first one was in March against Australia.
After Pakistan’s sad loss in Multan, a journalist had proposed that he and Mohammad Rizwan concentrate on T20 Internationals during their post-second Test media conference. The reporter then questioned whether they should stop playing Test cricket, to which an enraged Babar responded.
When Pakistan hosts England for the third and final Test starting on December 17, they will be attempting to save face after losing the series and avoid an embarrassing rout.
