Despite this fantastic accomplishment, Ricky Ponting stated that Babar still has a lot to learn in order to develop into a stronger captain. Babar led Pakistan to two consecutive T20 World Cup semi-final appearances.
Ponting added that he was confident Babar could progress as a captain with more experience, just as he had with his batting, over time.
