Despite twelve goals in 29 games, he could not prevent the Pride of the North from being relegated to the Eerste Divisie for the first time this century. The young attacker was warm to an extended stay, in addition to PSV, Feyenoord also tried to stay in him. The Brabanders have won this battle against the champion.
The deal is reported to be worth around ten million euros. As a selling party, FC Augsburg has also stipulated a resale percentage. Pepi was brought to Germany by FC Augsburg in early 2022 after impressing in Major League Soccer at FC Dallas. Ricardo Pepi became an American international and helped his country to gold in the Nations League this month. Pepi scored four times in four matches.
Ajax extends contract of Jong Ajax manager
Staying in the Netherlands, Ajax has extended the contract with Dave Vos until 2025. The trainer of Jong Ajax will therefore remain connected to the Amsterdam club for at least another two years.
Vos had an expiring contract. After he was appointed as the successor to interim coach John Heitinga, who had left for the main force, he made a big impression on the Amsterdam reserves. As a result, the club has decided to extend the contract for two seasons.
Vos was previously employed by Ajax. At the time, Vos worked for ten seasons as a youth coach at the top club. However, after his appointment at Rangers FC, Giovanni van Bronckhorst took Vos away from the team from Amsterdam as assistant coach.
After Alfred Schreuder was fired and Heitinga was promoted to the first team, Vos returned to the club. The talented coach succeeded Heitinga and did so properly. That made technical manager Klaas Jan Huntelaar decide to bind him longer.
Former professional Yuri Rose will be Vos’ new assistant at Jong Ajax. The former player of De Graafschap, Heracles Almelo and FC Volendam, among others, was a trainer of Ajax Under-17, but has now been added to the staff of Vos. Martijn Reuser succeeds Rose.
