Bayern Munich will go all in for Harry Kane as the new top striker for Thomas Tuchel’s team. A ‘firm delegation’ from Bavaria was in London on Thursday for negotiations with Tottenham Hotspur chairman Daniel Levy.
Bayern Munich continues to bet on the arrival of Harry Kane
Kane has been associated with Bayern for some time now and seems to be keen on a move to Germany’s champions. However, Tottenham does not simply cooperate. An initial offer from Bayern, worth seventy million euros, was firmly rejected. The clubs have been in contact ever since.
On Thursday, Bayern accelerated and a delegation traveled to London for face-to-face talks with Levy. According to BILD, there has been no breakthrough in the transfer game, but they are confident in a good outcome at Bayern.
Kane, who turns 30 later this month, has only one year left on his contract with Tottenham. Yet his employer would have given him a price tag of no less than one hundred million euros. Bayern is now trying to get that amount down a bit.
At Bayern, Kane must succeed Robert Lewandowski, who left for Barcelona last year. In the past season, Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting was often at the point of attack. After the departure of Lewandowski, Bayern brought in Sadio Mane as a top purchase, but the wing attacker, who came over from Liverpool, has not come out of the blue in Germany and is already allowed to leave.
Kane has played for Tottenham since 2004. He was loaned out to Leyton Orient, Millwall, Norwich City and Leicester early in his career before becoming the big star of the team. He scored 280 goals in 435 appearances for the club. However, Kane has never won a prize with Tottenham and that stings. At Bayern the chance of silverware is a lot higher.
With Bayern Kane, captain of the English national team, can also play in the Champions League. Tottenham will be missing from the UCL next season; in fact, the Londoners do not play European football at all after a disappointing football year.
Galatasaray has finally got hold of former City player Angeliño
In other Bundesliga transfer news, Angeliño continues his career in the Turkish Süper Lig. RB Leipzig confirmed on Thursday evening that he will be loaned out to Galatasaray.
Angeliño (26) was still a regular at RB Leipzig two seasons ago, but was loaned out to 1899 Hoffenheim in the previous year. The Spaniard came to Leipzig in the summer of 2021 after Manchester City had already loaned him out to the Bundesliga club for a season and a half, where he is still under contract until mid-2025.
Galatasaray takes over Angeliño from RB Leipzig on a rental basis for next season. And has included an option to buy in the deal. The full-back is the second summer signing for the reigning champions of Turkey after central defender Kaan Ayhan from Sassuolo.
