British Heavyweight Championship: Later this year, Frazer Clarke might take on Fabio Wardley for the British heavyweight championship.
At the Olympic Games in Tokyo, Clarke won the bronze medal in the super heavyweight division.
He began his professional career in 2022, and on Saturday, he will compete in his sixth match when he faces Rydell Booker of the USA.
Ben Shalom, the promoter, anticipates Clarke challenging Fabio Wardley for the British championship in the near future if he passes this next test.
“Without a question, he’ll want to compete for a British crown this year. Ideally, sooner rather than later,” Ben-Shalom of BOXXER spoke to Sky Sports.
“I think they both want that fight, and I can absolutely see it occurring as long as Fabio retains the British championship in the foreseeable future.”
In order to earn the Lonsdale belt in November, Wardley defeated Nathan Gorman.
The current British champion, according to Shalom, is Fabio Wardley. “I believe Frazer wants to fight in such a situation.
“Frazer thinks he’s on a global scale. He has the potential to be at the top level. He will therefore want to deal with the British men this year.
“It gets exciting because he has some good domestic battles this year, matches he’ll need to win, like David Adeleye, Fabio Wardley, and Kash Ali.
“I can see Wardley’s struggle happening this year.”
Yet Clarke must play well when he faces Booker at the Manchester Arena the following weekend.
“I believe Rydell is coming to create a commotion. He is cunning and has enough expertise to know how to handle a situation. and a n. n. n. n. n. and n. With his background, Frazer is under a great deal of strain “explained Shalom.
“He will have to endure fights like this, but perhaps they will be ones he can truly learn from for when he faces himself in the world championship. Rydell Booker is a hard worker. It’s his toughest test yet, in my opinion.
“There is faith in Booker, so it ought to be thrilling. I am aware that he intends to prevail,” Shalom added. “Frazer has the chance to say anything here.
“He aspires to be the best in the heavyweight division and in that setting. He has till March 25 to make a statement.”
