For the first time in history, the England national football team reached the finals of the European Championship. So, in last night’s football match score, England won 2-1 over Denmark in the semi-final at the Wembley Stadium.
After carrying a 1-1 tie through 90 minutes, England beat Denmark 2-1 in extra time.
Denmark took the lead in the 30th minute with a goal by Mikkel Damsgaard. But Denmark’s captain Simon Kjaer equalized nine minutes later by pushing the ball into his own net.
Finally, Harry Kane brought the English out of this deadlock with a goal in the 104th minute of extra time.
England will now play the final on July 11 at Wembley against Italy, who beat Spain 4-2 in Euro 2020.
For the English, it will be the first final at the European Championships. They placed third in 1968 and reached only the semi-finals in 1996.
Meanwhile, Italy have won their only title in 1968 and they’ve lost twice after reaching the finals (2000, 2012).

Football Match Score – England Won 2-1 over Denmark in the Semi-final
The host entered the match with a better form, but the guests took the initial lead, nonetheless.
After 30 minutes, Mikkel Damsgaard sent a free kick in high over the penalty box.
Damsgaard’s strike was the first goal that “Gordi Albion” received in this championship.
Interestingly, just before this, in the 25th minute of the game, Pickford broke the record of the legendary Gordon Banks.
Banks lasted 720 minutes in 1966 without conceding a goal. At the 25th minute here, Pickford collected 721 minutes without conceding a goal and he thus broke the record.
However, just four minutes later, Sampdoria striker Damsgaard broke his streak. So now, Pickford’s record, the record in clean sheets, is now 725 minutes without conceding a single goal.
After Damsgaard gave Denmark a 0-1 lead, England’s home side equalized in the 39th minute.
Saka threw the ball from the wing into the penalty area towards Sterling. However, Kjaer slipped in front of him and he turned the ball into his own net.
England could have turned things around in the 55th minute, when Maguire shot with his head, but Schmeichel reacted fantastically.
Then, in the continuation of the match, the hosts pressed, and the Danes looked for their opportunity from the counter.
Still, the 1-1 result did not change, so the match went into overtime, where England decided it.
A pivotal moment occurred in the 102nd minute when Dutch referee Danny Makkelie pointed to the white spot. After Sterling fell in the penalty area, the VAR room confirmed Makkelie’s decision as correct.
So then, Harry Kane shot from the white spot, and Schmeichel defended the strike successfully.
But the rebounding ball bounced back to the English captain, who did not make a mistake on the second attempt.
